17-3-19 Dahlia is a sweet and gentle lady who is very nervous and noise sensitve. She will need a quiet home with a calm resident dog or dogs. Dahlia will need a home without young children as they would overwhelm and frighten her.  She will settle once she's in your arms but may be a bit of a flight risk so a secure back garden and somewhere to keep her safe when opening the front door are essential.  Dahlia will have no idea about house training as she has never lived in a home and she will also need to learn about how to walk on a lead.  These things will come with time, love and patience so if you have an abundance of these then please complete her application form.

24-03-19 UPDATE

I met this little girl today and she such a worried girl who is very nervous but I can pick her up but she will allow me to smooth her.  Dahila is in the kennel with all small girls and gets on well with them.
She does get nervous while running in and out of the play yard and sometimes needs to be carryied. Dahila will need to go to a home with another resident dog who will help her with all the doggy stuff she needs to learn and give her some much needed confidence with people.
Ava  needs  a quiet home with someone who will be patient with her.   She does not walk on the lead yet as too nervous to start this yet.

11-06-19 UPDATE

Dahlia after a few weeks in foster is slowly settling in to home life but still shows extreme anxiety when something new is happening. She is very wary of people and particularly men so will need a quiet and very patient home where people are experienced with anxious dogs. By using kind and gentle approaches to help her settle she is starting to build her trust.
Dahlia wouldn’t be able to live with children as she would find them too stressful. She gets on well with all of our dogs and at least another confident dog for support is essential for her.
Dahlia has a special talent for playing hide and seek and can get into the tiniest of places to hide or try to escape. Therefore a priority is having an extremely secure house and garden to keep her safe from harm. At the moment we aren’t quite seeing all of her personality because of her deep fear of people but I know that inside her worried shell is a loving and loyal friend waiting to emerge.

01-07-19 UPDATE

Dahlia is starting to come out of her shell and show her playful side a lot more. She loves to play with her doggy friends and likes to sleep snuggled up to another dog so confident playful friends will help her settle into a forever home.
Whilst she wants to be near you and follows me around Dahlia is still very skittish and much more wary of men, so needs a calm home where she can have a mum around most of the time to bond with and learn to trust.
Dahlia is a stunning beauty who will steal your heart as she has mine, but does need an experienced and secure forever home wit time and patience to help her overcome her worries.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.
