07-12-18 - Lily is a sweet little ex breeding grl looking for a fresh start in a warm cosy home. She doesnt yet walk on the lead and would need to live with another kind friend to show her the way and let her copy new skills like housetraining. She is so pretty and gentle and will make the perfect compaion when she finds her feet.

05-03-19 UPDATE

Lovely Lily has been with us here in foster for a little while now. She is a sensitive, tender girlie, who is gentle and loyal.
Lily is wonderful in every possible way, she has perfect manners at all times, and is enjoying her life here, having become used to our routines and ways. Lily is very shy. It is so endearing, but makes it hard to get a nice pic of her as she always looks away, bless her heart.
Lily is kind to all the other dogs here, and loves to have a nice cuddle up with us on the sofa in the evening. She gets excited to have her collar and lead on, and really enjoys running about in my secure field, but she never moves far from my heels. She is perfect in the car.
Lily has just started sleeping in the family bed, and this seems to be helping her confidence and feelings of self worth. Lily will need a kind canine friend in her adoptive home to help her settle in and continue to gradually grow in confidence. Lily is doing really well, but still has a journey ahead. She will need a patient new owner/s, with warm loving hearts to let her realise she is safe and adored.

12-08-19 UPDATE

It has been a while since I did an update for Lily. She remains painfully shy of 'strangers' and will panic and run away when approached by anyone she doesn't know. This has made meeting potential adopters very problematic!!
Lily lacks self confidence and will need someone who completely gets this and is ready willing and able to do ALL that is necessary to help her feel good about herself and life in general . This will include sleeping in the family bed.  She will also need kind doggie companionship.
Lily would not cope with children, or a busy household. She is wonderful on the lead, in the car and she is house clean. She is polite, non destructive, and so loyal. She is gently affectionate, and undemanding. Lily is just lovely, but so VERY shy. Her  'social phobia' is very real and will not be a quick fix. She will need the complete set of right circumstances for her, in order to help her overcome this. Please only apply for Lily if you feel you are the home for her and can provide the environment for her to feel safe, happy and proud of herself.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home dogs who have come from breeders where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They usually get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. Please read our information on ADOPTING EX-BREEDING DOGS before you apply.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog.
Large breed dogs over 25kg cost us considerably more  to spay and neuter so if you are adopting a large breed dog we would be very grateful of an extra suggested donation of £10 towards this increased cost to help us keep running.
You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
