04-05-19 Sonny is a shihtzu cross who was originally adopted as a tiny puppy. He has been returned and was being taken to be put to sleep as he had bitten  his previous adopters. The adopter had said he was always a nervous puppy however he was not taken to dog training or had they had him neutered as per their agreement with us at the time of adoption.
At a year old the person could no longer cope with him and and he thought it was best to have him killed. We disagree completely and feel with dog lovers who are dog savvy who can listen and seek help when needed his precious life can be saved.
If you feel you are kind person with a nice home and experence with dogs who have not been well socialised  then please step forward. He has gone to a great foster home where he will start adjusting and she will update on his progress when she can. We are looking for an adult only  for this little chap.  Apart from being terrified he has been an absolute delight so far and has heaps of potential to be a wonderful little dog in the right hands

30-05-19 UPDATE

Sonny needs an experienced home, that can work with him, not let him get away with anything. If he lives with another dog, it needs to be able to cope with his little out bursts of wanting it all his own way. He loves cuddles and does sleep on my adult son's bed. He walks on the lead and loves his walks. Loves a tennis ball. He does need someone around all day, as he does bark if left to start with. Sonny is very cute and needs a special home.

23-06-19 UPDATE

This little boy is small with a big personality. He loves to play, seems to like men just a little bit more than women, but loves everyone once they've made a fuss of him. Hope someone will give him his dream home.

28-07-19 UPDATE

I know Sonny is not perfect but he is very cute, easy to handle and a very loving little boy who would love to be someone's Number 1 boy. He loves to play with his humans as well as dogs and I can't understand why he is still waiting.

The adoption fee for an adult dog (6 months and over) is £220 and for a puppy is £250, However if the dog has a passport you will be given this when you adopt and we ask for a further £20 to help us buy a passport for another dog. You will find a break down of what the adoption fee covers under our Adoption Procedures (see link below) If your application is successful you will be home checked and you, all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the dog you want to adopt. All our dogs are micro-chipped, have had at least their first inoculation and are spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. You must have a safe means of transporting the dog home in a crate or if this is not possible please discuss with Many Tears or the Fosterer when your application is being processed.

Please read our adoption procedures before applying and then complete the adoption form.
