We DO NOT accept telephone calls before 10:00am or after 4:00pm. The lines are constantly busy and it can be difficult to get through so please be patient and keep redialing.
We have had a concerning increase in abusive calls. This is incredibly upsetting for the staff who are doing their very best under extremely difficult circumstances. Visiting Many Tears or Adopting Your Dog from the Rescue
We are open to the public every day from 11:00am to 3:30pm. Due to the number of visitors we now get we have had to employ a member of staff to give guided tours of the rescue. To help cover the cost of this we charge £2 per adult (under 10s are free) and the tours run every half hour. The last admittance to the rescue is therefore 3pm for both tours and adoptions - donations can be brought up to 4pm. We don’t operate a booking system, so please plan your journey and arrival time accordingly. A strict closing time is essential to ensure that all our dogs receive the best attention from our staff before they leave for the day. Please be aware that there are dogs at the centre who are not on the website for various reasons including health problems, behavioural issues or just having arrived/requiring booking in/assessment etc.
Please Note
If you have seen a dog on the webite to avoid disappointment please initially apply on-line and wait to hear if you have been successful, ahead of your visit. This prevents you coming and meeting the dog, faling in love only to be told that an application has been received from someone else and the dog is reserved for them. Applications are being accepted all the time so some dogs you see may already be Reserved for a home.

We always welcome volunteers at Many Tears. If you want to come and walk our dogs please come between 11am and 3:00pm. If you are a volunteer who comes to help regularly and want to do more than walk and help with the kennels you will be given an orientation talk about the finding your way around rescue centre and its rules. Once this has been completed you can volunteer any time between 07:00am until 4:00pm. If you are a regular volunteer who wants to do this please speak to the staff at the centre or email at and arrange a suitable time to attend to have the orientation talk and then you will be able to help in all areas of the kennels.
